At BoPH, we are bridging the gap between 2018 and 2019 with a celebration of happiness! Our Bridge of the Month for January is A SMILE.  A smile is a bridge built of joy.  When we share a smile, we invite others to share in our happiness and spread it to the world!

Amazingly, we learn to smile before we are born! Humans learn to use the 26 muscles that make up a smile in the womb and are born ready to mirror the joys the world has to bring. Smiles not only signal and spread our happy feelings, they keep us healthy! Genuine smiles give our immune systems a boost and can elevate our mood with endorphin release. Smiles themselves are contagious, spreading from one person to the next and carrying joy with them in the process.
